So I'm sitting on a cement picnic bench on the beach in San Diego and up rolls this guy on a long board. He looks at me and says, "Are you Travis?" Ummm Yes, I am... and you are? "Jared" he said, "your friend over there told me I should talk to you." So we started to chat and I came to find out that Jared had just moved to San Diego and needed a place to stay. I thought, sure! I just met this guy so why not let him live with me. At the time I was living in an apartment with 4-8 other guys (it kind of depended on the week) so why not throw one more guy in the mix. So that is how I met Jared. He lived with me for about 6 months and then went on his way. We kept in touch over the years and then I got a call from him telling me he was getting married. So, I shot his wedding. Seemed like the natural thing to do ;)
It is always funny to me how people come in and out of our lives and the outcomes that occur from random encounters. I love it! I'm one of those people that looks at you when I drive past you in my car. Have you ever noticed how people do that? Well, I do it because I am interested in what's going on in peoples lives. Sometimes people are smiling, or crying, an occasional nose picker, but most of the time a blank stare. It's always been intriguing to me. Anyways, enough about my personal life, here are a few shots from Jared and Ruthie's wedding. They kept it simple and it was awesome!

I think Jared was excited to finally be married (CONGRATULATIONS buddy!)

So yeah, this was off like a 10 foot high ledge... CRAZY!!!
