Sometimes you meet someone and you feel like you’ve known them forever or at least you feel like you should already be friends… well I think everyone feels that way when they meet these two lovely people. They are just easy, fun and lovable and I had a blast hanging out with them in Chico for their engagement shoot. Can’t wait to do it again at their wedding!!!

Garrett and Kirsten were married at the Sutter Club Library and their reception was at the Citizen Hotel in downtown Sacramento. It was a pleasure working with these two, especially because of how genuine they are! It was great to see how important family is to them! We are so happy that we could be part of their wedding day! Thank you Garrett and Kirsten for having us along!!

After over 2000 miles of road trip awesomeness we are finally home… well I guess we have been home for a few days now, but I’m just now getting around to posting the final photos from Yellowstone.

All in all it was such a great trip and I want to personally thank everyone for all the HAPPY BIRTHDAYS!!!

Went to iHOP for breakfast and this was at the opposite end of the parking lot, pleasantly surprised!

WELCOME TO YELLOWSTONE!!!

There was a huge line of cars pulled off in this little turn out so I jumped out with my camera and got about 20 yards from this little guy (or maybe it's a girl). Then it just started walking right up to me so I just froze and started snapping!

Again, another long line of cars and then this bear walked right passed us about 30 feet away. I had just enough time to hop out and grap this shot. Still not sure what kind of bear it is?

Took the next 3 images all within 5 minutes from each other. I think that's what I love most about Yellowstone so far... The variety is amazing!

30th Birthday Road-Trip of Awesomeness!!!

I was born August 11th 1982, which if you do the math means that in a few days here I will be turning the big 3 - 0 also know as “The new 20" according to Jay-Z! I’m excited to be 30 years old. A lot of amazing stuff happened to me in my 20’s…

I got married to the love of my life… Rebecca Hoehne!

I had 2 amazing children… Ezra and Zion!

I picked up a camera and starting my company!

I bought my first house!

I traveled about a bazzilion miles shooting in countries all over the world!

So while my 20’s have been unbelievably good to me I’m excited to venture into my 30’s to see what awesomeness might unfold. To celebrate this new milestone my family and I are off on a 30th Birthday Road-Trip of Awesomeness to Yellowstone! I’m going to do my best to document the trip as we go so be sure to check back over the next week and a half to get a glimpse into what I’m sure will be a breath taking adventure.
